Earthy, with a wild streak.
Brushstrokes of chocolate, cinnamon, sandy beige and dusty coral sweep along this scarf like layers in a canyon wall or the grain of polished walnut, with a few glowing streaks of terracotta for drama. Up close the fibres look almost painterly, feathered and soft-edged, as if someone combed the colour straight into the wool. The reverse is a cosy, curly camel, and a fine coral stitched edge ties the two sides together.
That painterly effect is pure Nuno felting. Fine merino fibres are laid out by hand in carefully chosen colours, then worked with water, soap and patience until they fuse into one supple, surprisingly light cloth. Handcrafted in Italy in 100% merino wool, so the play of colour you see here happens exactly once.
It's a natural partner for everything in your autumn wardrobe: a cream cable knit, a cognac leather jacket, an olive trench, a black roll-neck. Wrap it once and let the ends fall, or cross it high at the throat on properly cold mornings. Grounded, never boring.

Please Note
Every one of these scarves is individually felted by hand. Variations in colour, texture and the blending of the fibres are not imperfections but part of the beauty of the process. This scarf is the only one of its kind, which is rather the point. You're wearing the original, not a copy.
Care Note
Merino felted without chemical treatments likes to form little "pills" where it rubs. Think of them as a certificate of quality: they're proof of pure, untreated wool, and they lift off easily with a fabric shaver or lint remover. Dry cleaning is best. If you prefer, hand wash with a brief soak in cold water and a wool and silk detergent, press out the water gently (no wringing) and dry flat. Iron only if you really must, inside out and with extreme care.

Care
Your garment is handcrafted using the signature Nuno Felt Couture textile and made exclusively from natural fibres, including ethically sourced, mulesing-free Merino wool.
The unique texture and occasional natural pilling are natural characteristics of handcrafted wool and reflect the exceptional quality of the fibres and the absence of chemical treatments.
To preserve the beauty of your garment, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
If you choose to hand wash your garment:
- Wash gently in cold water using a detergent suitable for wool and silk.
- Do not wring or twist the fabric. Instead, gently press out excess water or roll the garment in a clean towel.
- For stubborn marks, use a specialist stain remover designed for delicate fabrics.
- Iron on a low setting from the reverse side if required.
- Natural pilling can easily be removed with a fabric shaver or lint remover.
With the right care, your garment will retain its beauty, texture and character for many years to come.
