Felted Merino Scarf Dove Grey/Lime & Forest Green

Spring has sprung. Possibly in November.
Soft dove grey with the faintest hint of lilac, then a burst of energy: looping lines of zingy lime and deep forest green that swirl and cross over the whole length of the scarf like fresh shoots that couldn't wait for spring. It's the kind of colour combination that wakes up a grey coat, a grey day and, frankly, a grey mood. The reverse is a curly, cloud-soft lilac grey with a whisper of green.
Every line is laid by hand. Nuno felting works fine merino fibres with water, soap and plenty of elbow grease until they lock together into one light, supple cloth, so the colour is part of the wool rather than printed on top. Handcrafted in Italy in 100% merino wool, this is a true one-off.
Wear it crossed at the front over a charcoal or navy coat, let it peek out from a camel blazer, or pair it with a white shirt and your greenest earrings for a little tonal mischief. The meadow comes with you.

Please Note
Every one of these scarves is individually felted by hand. Variations in colour, texture and the flow of the felted lines are not imperfections but part of the beauty of the process. This scarf is the only one of its kind, which is rather the point. You're wearing the original, not a copy.
Care Note
Merino felted without chemical treatments likes to form little "pills" where it rubs. Think of them as a certificate of quality: they're proof of pure, untreated wool, and they lift off easily with a fabric shaver or lint remover. Dry cleaning is best. If you prefer, hand wash with a brief soak in cold water and a wool and silk detergent, press out the water gently (no wringing) and dry flat. Iron only if you really must, inside out and with extreme care.
Cura
Cura
